About Us

The Carolina Family Caring Initiative is a community outreach program aimed at assisting caregiving families and the businesses and organizations that support and serve them. The Initiative results in the availability of a Family Care Passports (each of which entitles bearer to a FREE First Step consultation, along with other benefits) to all family caregivers in the Upstate region.

Family caregiving is a social and economic tidal wave threatening to overwhelm families, employers and the Upstate community at large. At stake are the quality, cost and options for giving and receiving care, as well as the financial well-being of caregiving families.

The Carolina Family Caring Initiative is a product of the collective effort of many community leaders, bellwether corporations, health and educational institutions, and civic, support and faith-based organizations.
